I would be a great member for the Corps of ReDiscovery for my trading and negotiating skills. I can easily sway Native Americans (or Indians) into trading their valuble crops, clothes, and hunting materials by showing them our wants and needs. I can trade our invalubles or surplus of a material to the Native Americans and Vice-Versa. This way both their tribe and our crew will both benifit, so if we happen to run into them on the way back they'll be more willing to trade with us. We could get animal blatters for canteens, fur coats for the night and tasty crops that will make the trip more enjoyable.
If I do become a member of your crew I hope to discover the innovations of the Native Americans. It has always fascinated me on how the make their tools and supplies. I've heard that one tribe of Native Americans would buy guns from Yankees and shoot a bullet into the air causing the buffalo that live their to panic and run. Then the Native Americans disguise themselves as wolves and run the buffalo of a cliff where they die of the drop. Then the Native Americans have up to enough food for a month.
I also heard they use the bones of their animals to make weapons for hunting. This leads me to the conclusion that they are very sophisticated people. I also know that they put nothing to waste, and if we are to embark on this journey we should live like them because they've been surviving in their conditions for hundreds of years.
I think that if I live their way of life i'll be able to more deeply understand them, ultimately leading me to how I should trade with them to the extent of my abilities.
